Aloo Paratha

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour – 1 cup (6 parathas)
Oil -1 teaspoon for kneading the dough
Oil/Ghee for cooking the parathas
Salt to taste

Stuffing:

Potatoes – 2-3 medium sized
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves – handful (finely chopped )
Onion – 1 finely chopped ( optional)
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Pressure cook potatoes till soft. Peel the skin and mash it well.

2.Add chillies, cumin seeds,  salt and coriander leaves.

3. Make 6 equal sized balls out of the stuffing.

4. Roll out the dough into small round shape and keep the stuffing on it.

5. Seal the dough with the stuffing inside it.

6. Roll it out into round shapes carefully with the sealed part facing upwards.

7. Heat a tawa and place the paratha on it.

8. You will find small bubbles forming. Apply oil/ghee on the top and flip it over to the other side.

9. Cook both sides well. Add more oil if needed.

10. Remove from tawa after both the sides are cooked well.

11. Serve with curd , chutney or pickles.
