Munnar

Our trip to Munnar was not a really well planned one. It was a spur of the moment decision to go and the first step towards that was the booking of the hotel rooms. It was a weekend and getting a booking in one of the good resorts or hotels was not an easy task. We finally ended up booking a not so great private cottage setup. The place was clean and tidy and the food was made as per demand and in limited choices. The food was tasty and the stay was comfortable. Just the spa and other things that spoil you in a good hotel were missing. That, in a way , was the best part of this trip.

The place is a must see for travel enthusiasts, honeymoon couples and retired people. The weather, the people , the place, the beauty, the enchanting scenes , all contribute to Munnar being such a great tourist destination. If you are here for sight seeing and monument searching, this place will be a disappointment. Here is a place where you can relax and forget all the worries in the world. Taking a 3-4 day break in this scenic beautiful place is the perfect antibiotic to blue moods and tired souls.

The biggest mistake I ever made was leaving my camera behind for this trip. I owned a Blackberry Torch back then and these pictures were clicked using the same. The photos are not as clear as I would have liked them to be. But these fetched me the maximum views on my Photography Page. I thought why not blog about the trip, even though it was made  more than a year ago.
