The kids had been hearing the constant name calling and the pointing of fingers. Their’s was a confused childhood. They are almost grown ups now. They understand the mistakes and the heartaches. They understood something about commitments too. The drift between the parents created a drift between their grandparents too. She was pleased at how her children planned this lunch to get them all back together again. She must have done something right in life, she thought.
