Feeling Lonely

Festival of Words

Festival of Words

Seema was busy unpacking her clothes and setting up her cupboard. She had decided to move in into shared accommodation with her colleague. Getting used to living among the crowd that gathers in her room in the hostel, had taken time. She was not a people person before her parents decided to send her to the boarding school.

She was back to being in a room by herself. Her new apartment mate was busy on her mobile. Seema missed her friends like crazy. She picked up her mobile and shared her feelings online. She was among her people once again.

  1. Hugs Jyothi! I know how that feels. I remember suddenly having to go to a boarding school in a different city in the 5th grade, and well, i thought my folks didn’t want me any more ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I guess today’s boarding schools with access to mobile phones, the internet must be extraordinarily different from how things were in the 80s and 90s boarding schools, right? But really nice post, captured the emotions that the girl goes through in her boarding school.
