Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot, Two Ways

I haven’t posted any of my vacation pictures on this blog yet. As always the problem is that I have two sets of pictures. One set taken from my iPhone, which I have been uploading on FB as and when I clicked them. The other set has just been freshly downloaded into my laptop a few hours ago.

The 1000+ Switzerland pictures are still in the process of sorting. Then I came across this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge. I went about looking for something that fits the prompt.

This is the Steepest Cogwheel Train in the world. It took us down from Mt. Pilatus to the Alpnachstad Station. We had reached Mt. Pilatus through the cable car the day before and spent a wonderful night on top of Mt. Pilatus. We missed taking the boat ride back to Lucerne from Aplnachstad. Else, we would have completed the Golden Round Trip.

So here’s my One Shot, Two Ways picture for this Weekly Photo Challenge.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Curves

This is a close up of the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. I couldn’t get a complete shot of the entire mosque from where I was because this is a HUGE mosque. I hear the interiors are much more beautiful. It was prayer time when we reached there and hence not allowed inside. I also hear the night view of this mosque is breathtakingly beautiful. I hope to take more pictures of this mosque someday during the summer holidays this year.

 Weekly Photo Challenge – Fleeting

A Monkey Swinging in a zoo. This was a fleeting moment too. Don’t you think so? Just look at his ” I don’t care if you are staring at me” attitude. 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge – The Sign Says

This particular sign is very important to all drivers here in Dubai. Of course, not more important than traffic signals and signs. But very important if you don’t want to lose AED 200 at one shot even if you are a minute late in refilling the ticket. These checking inspectors are everywhere! Before payment through mobile sms came through, it was very difficult to go to the meter frequently to purchase ticket every hour or two hours. RTA here has an annual pass for parking in these places. Recently we got a fine of AED 150. We were charged the very next morning after our annual pass expired! See their dedication to work! And also our carelessness! Sigh!
