Luck in Failure

If you are sad, show it. If you are mad, feel it. If you have something to say, say it. Never hide behind facades of false bravado. Life is indeed a boon even though it might not feel like that at all times. It is ok to be not contented with what has been handed to you. It is ok to be mad at the world. But laughing at someone else’s expense, really?

Finding pleasure in his/her failure is a sign of weakness. S/he’s the lucky one. S/he failed. It means S/he at least tried!

A Bird in Hand

A Bird in hand

A Bird in hand is worth two in the bush. 🙂

Yesterday was a not one of the best days of my life. I have not been keeping well for more than a week now . It is my diet and exercise routine that is playing havoc on my “very much used to Sedentary life style” body.

Whatever the reason, it has brought my zest,  for a slimmer body and healthier lifestyle , down to the bare minimum. I rather have a non headache day than look my slimmest best. Maybe by the end of this week I might get used to the the new lifestyle. Or maybe not. Only time will tell!

She sat her son on a chair next to mine with a nod as if to say that he was my responsibility till she finishes placing her order. This happens often now. This place is where I relax before I return home to the mess my life has become.

There I was, happily minding my own business and enjoying my cup of coffee one day , when a neighbour walks into the coffee shop. Her son could not curb his curiosity. It was me who used a wet wipe to clean his fingers. He has been my best friend since then.

It doesn’t take much to make her happy. All she needs is a happy smile and a warm hug. But not all are accustomed to give her that sense of belonging. Yet, her expectations are high.

Her family never believed in public display of affection. That didn’t mean that there was no love amongst them. It just meant that there wasn’t a necessity to flaunt that love to all and sundry.

Endearing messages on Facebook amongst family members or friends makes her wonder. Is their life perfect? If she only knew their truth.

Aloofness is sometimes a blessing in disguise.

Festival of Words

Festival of Words

It is the power of the written word that keeps our brain active. Physical exertion might seem more trying than a mental one. Maybe the adrenalin rush is different. Have you tried being an armchair traveller? That can be exhilarating too if you are imagining it right.

Imagine the mental calories burnt when trying to decipher the clues put forward by the author and identify the killer before half the book is over! It is pure hard work I tell you.

Now I read while on the treadmill. Now if that isn’t the perfect combination then tell me what is?

Are you mature?

Are you Mature?

Are you Mature?

While in college, there was a “ Test your Maturity” Quiz in a magazine. I laugh off such results especially if I don’t like them. But a friend indicated that indeed I am not mature enough. At that point maturity for me was being able to make the right decisions and not be stubborn and childish. I took pride in these, even though I was the youngest child. I’d do things differently for sure. Leave the so called friends circle who were bent upon destroying my confidence. Maturity is relative I am told. I was above such immaturity and such friendships.

NaBloPoMo November 2013

This completes my month long NaBloPoMo November posting. I got this idea to do a linkup everyday of this month during the first week only. I have done 30 linkups this month. The Diwali Diyas post didn’t have a linkup, but Memories had two linkups.  So I guess my theme for the month was ” 30 days 30 linkups”. 😀

And Yay! I posted every single day without a break in November 2013. 😀 😀 😀
